Ancon Construction turned a former Furnitureland store in Goshen into its new headquarters. It plans to celebrate the milestone with the community on Aug. 6.
Plans to convert the 24,000-square-foot building started in November 2023.
“This project has been so much more than just renovating a building,” said Doug VonGunten, Ancon president, in a press release. “I have dreamt of this day for years! It represents who we are as employee-owners while showcasing Ancon’s true design-build culture.”
Features of the renovated space include: natural daylight, collaborative working areas, meeting areas, cafe, outdoor patio and lawn space.
“(The new space) also reflects the core of our day-to-day operations and will be a place where our entire team will be able to come together and thrive,” said VonGunten. “We’re excited to transition into this transformed space, one that better reflects the work that we do while bringing new life to an empty building in our hometown of Goshen.”
The ribbon cutting will take place from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Aug. 6 at 2121 W. Wilden Ave. in Goshen.
Ancon Construction, which was founded in 1975, is an employee-owned commercial design-build contractor. It has been involved in more than 6,000 projects in its almost 50 years in business.
