A new Notre Dame Federal Credit Union branch in Elkhart is scheduled to open this spring.
The full-service branch at 101 S. Main St. will feature tellers and drive-up lines. The credit union's current mortgage center in Elkhart will also move into the space.
“Our goal has always been to meet people where they are,” said Tom Gryp, president and CEO of Notre Dame FCU, in a press release. “Elkhart is a vibrant community with a wonderfully diverse profile, and we’re ready to be part of that fabric — helping families, businesses, and nonprofits thrive through meaningful relationships, not transactions.”
Bilingual staff will be available as part of Notre Dame FCU's Juntos Avanzamos distinction, which recognizes credit unions that provide opportunities for immigrants and Hispanics.
Notre Dame FCU has more than 60,000 members and serves more than 900 groups but is independent from Notre Dame University. It was founded in 1941.
