First Federal Savings Bank broke ground on a new Goshen location in the Meijer plaza.
Dick Belcher opened the first bank location in 1966. He wanted to build a banking experience that felt like family for the community. The bank now has six locations.
“Our focus on people has allowed us to grow to be more than just a bank,” according to its website.
The bank's mission is to provide products using the latest technology, take care of employees and follow the Golden Rule of treating others as bank employees would like to be treating.
“We don’t want to be the biggest bank, just the best,” Belcher said. He passed away in 2022. He led the bank for 56 years.
First Federal Savings Bank has locations in Bremen, Elkhart, Mishawaka, Plymouth, Rochester and Winamac.
