Wightman opens third Indiana location in Portage

Benton Harbor, Michigan-based Wightman opened a new office in Portage. The location is its third in Indiana.

“Our new office in Portage marks the beginning of an exciting chapter as we open the doors to a space where innovation, collaboration and success will flourish,” said Wightman President Matt Davis in a press release. “This strategic expansion allows us to better cater to the needs of our clients and supports Wightman’s commitment to help build stronger communities while providing a more convenient location for our team members and partners.”

The new location is part of the company's strategic plan to grow in the Region.

“Opening this new architectural office is a significant milestone for Wightman,” said Greg Monberg, director of architecture at Wightman. “We are thrilled to be a part of the Portage community and eager to provide our expertise in architecture, engineering and land surveying to our clients in the Region.”

Scott Falk, who is the former owner and principal of FLD Architects, will lead operations at the Potage office. He joined Wightman in 2022 after almost 40 years of experience in architectural design.

“Scott Falk's leadership and talent will be instrumental in delivering exceptional architectural solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients,” Monberg added. “This new office is a testament to our ongoing commitment to fostering innovation, collaboration and sustainable design.”

The new office opened Nov. 1.

“It has been my long-time goal to offer full architecture and engineering services to the Northwest Indiana community, and the Wightman team brings a talented group of professionals dedicated to providing quality design to better the built environment,” Falk said.

Wightman employs more than 170 professionals. Its services include architecture, civil engineering, surveying, planning, GIS, landscape architecture, interior design and reality capture. The firm has offices in Allegan, Benton Harbor, Hastings, Kalamazoo, Royal Oa, and Southgate in Michigan, as well as Plymouth, Portage and South Bend in Indiana.
