Mishawaka-based Lighthouse Autism Center is using a new app to track outcomes of its clients.
More than 700 clients are enrolled in the 33 centers, which focus on applied behavior analysis.
The Learner Outcomes Project uses data collected during the 11 years the therapy provider has been operating. Chief Clinical Officer Leila Allen led the project.
The data analyzed includes medical and behavior history, and treatment plans that may impact a learner’s success at Lighthouse.
“In the future, we anticipate clinicians can use the Outcomes App to track their learners’ progress with standardized assessments that will allow them to measure progress against learners with similar profiles, access a database of other learner data across Lighthouse, and ultimately provide a more standardized way to track outcomes, while still recognizing the individuality of the learners we serve,” according to a press release.
Lighthouse was founded in 2012 by Gregg and Sandy Maggioli, whose son was diagnosed with autism. The first center in Mishawaka has grown to a network of centers across Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa and Nebraska.
