Chipotle chooses Mishawaka for new location

Chipotle officials say Mishawaka is the type of community it looks for in a new location.

On Nov. 10, they opened their first location in the town at 4411 Lincolnway East, Mishawaka.

“We are always looking for communities where we can serve responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food and establish new local partnerships, and the Mishawaka area is a great fit,” according to a Chipotle spokesperson. “This location will provide more options for the community with the additional access point of the brand’s signature Chipotlane, a drive-thru pickup lane that allows guests to conveniently pick up digital orders without leaving their cars.”

Customers of the location can try Chipotle's fan-favorite carne asada for a limited time. It is open everyday from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Each Chipotle location employs about 25 people, and offers fundraisers for local causes.

“We garner amazing results but it wouldn’t be possible without bringing that family-like culture to the table,“ said Haris Khan, vice president of operations services, on the Chipotle website.

It also promotes careers with the slogan “Where work is like a burrito. Well-rounded and full of your favorite things.”

Chipotle has 48 locations in Indiana.
