Elkhart-based Mid-City Supply Company Inc. opened a new location in Springfield, Michigan.
Officials from the Battle Creek Area Chamber of Commerce joined company representatives for a ribbon cutting June 20 at 335 North Helmer Road. The company is a wholesale distributors of plumbing and HVAC products.
“Our new Springfield location is easily accessible, and we’ve already seen an uptick in store traffic and sales compared to our previous location,” said Jordan New, chief executive officer of Mid-City Supply, in a press release.
The company relocated its Galesburg, Michigan, location to the bigger 12,200-square-foot building in Springfield. The new location has more room for counter sales and a classroom for training.

Mid-City Supply, which was founded in 1947, is in its third generation of family ownership. It employs 145 people at nine locations in Indiana and Michigan.
