University Park Mall in Mishawaka is bringing back the carnival this year to help showcase its new stores and restaurants.
Skerbeck Entertainment will present the spring carnival starting at 4 p.m. April 19 and continuing through April 28 in the north parking lot near JCPenney. The carnival will feature more than 30 rides and attractions, plus carnival food.
“We’re excited to have the family-friendly spring carnival back to showcase the mall and serve Mishawaka and our surrounding communities,” said Christian Carlson, area director of marketing and business development for University Park Mall and Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets, in a press release. “If you haven’t been to University Park Mall recently, you might be surprised at some of the new stores and restaurants inside.”
The carnival is in its seventh year, the fourth for Skerbeck. The carnival will be open from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Unlimited ride wristbands cost $30 every day. Individual tickets are $1.50 each. Rides are four to six tickets each, with exceptions for premier rides. A minimum purchase is required.
Holland, Michigan-based Skerbeck Entertainment Group is a multi-generational family business. Family members started as circus performers in Bohemia before coming to the U.S. in the 1800s.
The University Park Mall at 6501 N. Grape Road in Mishawaka has more than 120 stores, including Macy's, Barnes & Noble and JCPenney.
