New recovery center planned in Plymouth

A proposed recovery center in Plymouth would include space for workforce development and training.

The nonprofit 99+1 From Ashes to Fire Revival Ministry Inc. launched a capital campaign to launch the 99+1 Lighthouse, which will offer substance abuse and mental health recovery services. The resource center would include capabilities for printing commercial materials like brochures, business cards, signs, banners and other business-related services.

A potential site for the community resource is still under consideration.

“This has grown far beyond the idea of simply finding a building,” said Andrew Hayn, president and executive director of 99+1 From Ashes to Fire Revival Ministry, in a press release. “We are working toward creating a permanent place where someone can walk through the door and find recovery support, connection, resources, food, practical help, education, employment skills and, most importantly, people who will walk beside them.”

Services will complement mental health providers, facilities and community partners.

Plymouth, which is the county seat of Marshall County, has about 10,000 residents. The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis reported about 19,000 people worked in Marshall County in 2018.
