Over 600 Everwise Credit Union employees rolled up their sleeves to volunteer during the annual Everwise Day of Giving Oct. 13.
Employees volunteered in communities across the state of Indiana and southwest Michigan. They participated in hands-on service projects at over 45 nonprofit organizations. They engaged in activities such as painting, landscaping, sorting donations and connecting with community members.
This marked the sixth corporate-wide day of service for Everwise since 2018. In support of the day, the credit union’s 50 banking branches, corporate and auxiliary offices were closed, allowing employees to dedicate a full day to serving others.
“At Everwise, we take pride in making a genuine difference in the lives of people across the communities we serve,” said Jason Osterhage, Everwise president and CEO, in a press release. “Our Day of Giving is a true reflection of our people-first culture, where our employees unite to create meaningful and lasting impact.”
The Day of Giving is one part of Everwise’s broader community engagement efforts. In 2024, Everwise employees contributed over 5,000 volunteer hours to causes they care about. Together, Everwise and the Everwise Foundation also donated over $900,000 to support local nonprofit organizations.
Founded in 1931, Everwise Credit Union serves nearly 300,000 members.
