St. Joe River Lodge plans open house

The Greater Niles Chamber of Commerce is hosting a ribbon cutting Aug, 20 at the St. Joe River Lodge.

Guests can visit the “stunning” views during the open house event, which will include networking, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

“Nestled along the tranquil St. Joseph River in Buchanan, Michigan, our historic estate offers 55 acres of breathtaking natural beauty, refined spaces, and unforgettable experiences. From elegant weddings and upscale retreats to intimate celebrations and peaceful escapes, every gathering is surrounded by heritage, charm and modern comfort,” according to a press release.

The historic estate offers places for weddings, corporate retreats, live events and other gatherings.

Eugene Bradley Clark, founder of Clark Equipment Co., purchased the 100-acre site in 1918 to build his summer home. In 2025, Lisa Nagle bought the 55-acre property.
