The Liberty Tower Residences will bring luxury residential apartment living to downtown South Bend.
Washington Square Development will celebrate a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. June 11.
“The transformation at Liberty Tower Residences will bring new life and vibrancy to our community,” said Mayor James Mueller in a press release. “This major investment creates needed housing as we continue to grow and demonstrates confidence in our city’s future.”
South Bend increasingly is becoming known for its walkable amenities and proximity to the University of Notre Dame.
Liberty Tower Residences will offer 88 apartments on the building's top nine floors. Units offered include studios to three bedrooms in both furnished and unfurnished formats. The units were designed for professionals, professors and Notre Dame graduate students. The building also features a penthouse suite with three bedrooms and bathrooms.
Building owners believed that luxury housing would complement the Aloft Hotel and a 200-space parking garage. The hotel opened in 2017.
Libery Tower Residences are at 211 W. Washington St. in downtown South Bend.
