Elkhart-based Transhield received certification to ISO 9001:2015, an internationally recognized quality management system standard.
The certification applies to Transhield’s facilities in Elkhart; Del Rio, Texas; and Acuña, Mexico. Transhield designs and manufactures protective covers for defense, aviation, marine and industrial markets. The covers shield equipment from harsh environmental elements.
“This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our teams across all three facilities,” said Mark Schuck, Transhield vice president, in a press release. “Our certification effort has been about more than compliance, it’s about strengthening our culture of quality, improving processes and ensuring long-term value for our customers.”
Jim Glick, Transhield president, said the certification gives customers confidence in the company’s systems and people.
