Doral, NovaSource donate ATV

The Mammoth Solar project and NovaSource Power Services donated an all-terrain vehicle to the Bass Lake California Township Volunteer Fire Department in Starke County.

The new ATV will boost the fire department’s ability to reach emergencies in difficult terrain, particularly around Bass Lake and throughout the county’s rural areas. The ATV will help to enhance the department’s mobility, speed and effectiveness.

“The Bass Lake Fire Department is very appreciative of Mammoth Solar and NovaSource’s support and donation of this ATV, which will help our team in our mission to keep the community safe,” said Darrell Crase, Bass Lake fire chief, in a press release.

Doral Renewables is the developer of the Mammoth Solar project. Partnering with NovaSource, the project’s operations and maintenance firm, the donation reflects a shared dedication to public safety and to ensuring local emergency services are well equipped to meet the needs of the community.

“At NovaSource, we believe our responsibility extends beyond maintaining large solar projects – we are also neighbors and partners in the communities where we operate,” Scott Mariana, NovaSource regional director of U.S. power plant field operations, said. “Supporting the Bass Lake Fire Department with this donation is just one way we can help strengthen local emergency responses and give back to Starke County.”
