Hitachi Global Air Power recently gifted a full-year Michigan City Chamber of Commerce membership to Gina Alber.
Alber has over 25 years of experience as a disability services expert, public school educator and workforce consultant. She guides individuals through the career preparation process. Alber specializes in facilitating access to adult services and government disability-related programs. Her business, Gina Alber Consulting, serves Northwest Indiana.
The Michigan City Chamber began the membership gift program in 2022. Chamber investors have an opportunity to select a local minority, woman or veteran-owned business and provide them with a one-year chamber membership. The initiative helps smaller businesses connect with existing chamber members, businesses and organizations.
“We are proud to see businesses like Hitachi Global Air Power investing in the success of entrepreneurs in the community,” said Kurt Gillins, Michigan City Chamber president, in a press release. “By supporting small businesses through programs like this, we are strengthening our local economy and creating more opportunities for growth and collaboration.”
The chamber aims to foster an inclusive business environment to promote a thriving community.
“We’re big believers in supporting the people and businesses that make our community thrive,” Kelly Molchan, Hitachi Global Air Power community action lead, said. “Helping local entrepreneurs like Gina connect with others and grow her business through the chamber reflects the kind of meaningful impact we’re proud to champion.”
The Michigan City Chamber of Commerce serves as a resource to its members, businesses and the community to promote economic growth in the Michigan City area.
