La Porte-based Kabelin Hardware Company celebrated the opening of its eighth store.
The new store is at 2309 E Michigan Blvd. in Michigan City in the Eastgate Plaza. It is the company’s second location in Michigan City.
“This new location is more than just a store – it is a promise to support and uplift the East Side community by creating jobs, offering essential products and forming meaningful partnerships with other local businesses,” Mackenzie Kabelin Watkins, Kabelin Ace Hardware president, said in a press release. “Our goal is to enhance the quality of life for everyone who calls this area home.”
Lisa Conley, new store manager, said the team has worked for months bringing the new location together. The East Side location will feature a range of products and services, including hardware, home improvement supplies and advice tailored to the needs of the local area. The new store will also feature a 4,000-square-foot open-air garden center.
Kabelin Hardware Company is a family-owned hardware retailer with stores across Northwest Indiana. Kabelin Hardware has been serving the community since 1912.
