Nuway Construction supports Startup Moxie

Nuway Construction's fifth annual charity golf outing is benefiting Startup Moxie in Elkhart County.

The June 3 event raised $25,100 for the program that supports youth. Startup Moxie is a RISE program that empowers high school students to build entrepreneurial skills and connections in their communities.

“Our charity golf outing is about supporting organizations that are strengthening our community in meaningful ways,” said Andy Nesbitt, president of Nuway Construction, in a press release. “Each year, we partner with a new group, and this year, we’re excited to support Startup Moxie and the impact they’re making in the lives of local students.”

Startup Moxie is part of a dual credit program and is open to high school juniors and seniors in Elkhart County. The yearlong program culminates in a pitch competition. Students also tour more than 35 businesses and hear 75 guest speakers during the program.

The golf outing took place June 4 at Maplecrest Country Club in Goshen. Landis Power Washing took first place with -16.

“We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who made this event possible and can’t wait to do it again next year,” according to a company LinkedIn post.

Nuway Construction in Goshen was founded in 1975 and has completed more than 1,500 projects in Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan.
