Lighthouse Autism Center sponsors sensory room

Lighthouse Autism Center is partnering with Beacon Medical Group Pediatrics Bristol Street in Elkhart to support children with autism.

Mishawaka-based Lighthouse Autism Center will sponsor a dedicated sensory room at the Beacon Medical Group office. Families will have access to the sensory room during appointments and check-ups.

Sensory stimulation in the room will be tailored to enhance comfort for children with autism and other sensory challenges. The room will provide a calming space for children who may experience sensory overload and require a space for decompression during their office visit. It will have an array of sensory tools to facilitate interaction and communication with children on the autism spectrum.
