Mishawaka-based Lighthouse Autism Center continues its expansion with a new center in Asheboro, North Carolina.
The 7,350-square-foot center will offer autism therapy for up to 28 children at the location. It is expected to open in August.
โWe are excited to bring Lighthouse Autism Centerโs services to families in the Asheboro community,โ said Natalie Yates, clinical regional director, in a press release. โOur goal is to provide compassionate, high-quality care that helps children with autism develop the skills they need to grow, communicate, and thrive. We look forward to becoming part of this community and supporting families throughout their autism journey.โ
Yates and Senior Clinical Regional Director Karen Merkel will oversee a team of behavior analysts and registered behavior technicians who tailor the program to each child's needs. Lighthouse provides applied behavior analysis therapies.
Lighthouse Autism Center began in 2004 when Gregg and Sandy Maggioliโs son was diagnosed with autism. Their journey led to ABA therapy and the founding of Lighthouse. Since then, the company has expanded to Illinois, Michigan, Iowa, Nebraska and North Carolina, along with 24 locations in Indiana.
