Lubeznik Center class registration to open

The Lubeznik Center for the Arts’ 2025 spring education offerings open for registration Jan. 13.

The Michigan City-based arts center’s educational lineup includes classes and workshops for children, teens and adults. Scholarships for children and adults are available.

Spring classes and workshops include:

  • Abstract Painting I & II
  • 3D Mixed Media
  • Sandcastle Writers
  • Filling Spaces with Patterns
  • Contemporary Art: Classical Myths II
  • Character Design
  • Mixed Media for Young Artists
  • Creating Depth with Color
  • Dance Club
  • Monotype Printing
  • Painting Portraits

“I am proud that many of our excellent instructors have created followings, and still, we continue to bring new classes and teaching artists to present new offerings,” said Janet Bloch, Lubeznik Center for the Arts executive director, in a press release. “Our enrollment is strong, and we love the sense of community our classes create at LCA.”

The center’s Teen Arts Council will continue meeting through the spring. Connecting local creative teens ages 13-18, the council will meet 6 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 27, March 27 and April 24. It is free for all teens.

Lubeznik Center for the Arts provides access to art exhibitions and programs. The nonprofit organization is on the lakefront in Michigan City. Admission is free year-round.
