Cornerstone Alliance is conducting a survey that will inform a comprehensive strategic planning process. The plan will determine the organization's priorities and direction for Berrien County in the coming years.
“Successful communities are not shaped by any one organization or sector. They advance when public and private leaders unite around a shared vision for the future,” said Marla Schneider, president and CEO of Cornerstone Alliance in a press release. “This strategic planning process is intended to provide Berrien County with a clear roadmap for that future. By benchmarking our region against both peer and aspirational communities, we can be intentional about how we grow our economy, expand our population and talent, strengthen placemaking, and drive the community investment that helps Berrien County thrive.”
Amy Holloway, a community and economic development strategist at Aha! Advisors, will guide Cornerstone Alliance through the process.
“The strongest strategic plans begin with listening,” Holloway said. “This process will give Cornerstone Alliance the opportunity to hear from the people who know this region best, explore the opportunities ahead, and create a focused path forward for the organization.”
Community members are invited to take the survey through Oct. 9. After the survey and other community input is complete, feedback and further research will be used to create the strategic plan. Learn more about the planning process here.
