Attorney realizes dream of small business ownership

Kyle Chamberlin always dreamed of owning his own business. And now he is finally realizing that dream by founding his own firm: Chamberlin Legal.

One of his goals is to also help others realize their small business dreams.

“The last few years brought renewed focus to a goal I first articulated in fifth grade: owning a business,” Chamberlin said. “I am excited to take this entrepreneurial leap while remaining available to serve local clients.”

His South Bend-based firm will focus on business and real estate, with entities as the majority of clients.

“Particularly in our real estate advisory services, all knowledge is local,” said Chamberlin on the firm's new website. “We have deep experience and relationships in the greater South Bend region. If you are leasing a commercial space, we may well have negotiated a deal in the same building.”

He graduated from Mishawaka High School, and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing and his law degree from the University of Notre Dame.

He first worked in house for more than 10 years at two businesses in the Michiana region, and then joined THK Law in South Bend for four years.

“The thesis of Chamberlin Legal is to provide focused and efficient business counsel, freed from the constraints of the legacy law firm model and enabled by technology,” Chamberlin said.

The South Bend Regional Chamber of Commerce recognized Chamberlin as an Outstanding Young Business Leader in 2020, and he was member of the 2014 Class of the Michiana Forty Under 40.
