Purdue Federal celebrates new branch

Purdue Federal Credit Union is opening a branch in the Purdue Memorial Union in West La Fayette.

To mark the milestone, Purdue Federal recently hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony, in partnership with Greater Lafayette Commerce. Community members, along with Purdue Federal staff and partners gathered to celebrate the new facility.

The new branch replaces the previous Purdue Memorial Union location. It offers a larger space of 2,000 square feet. The branch features an open lobby, multiple offices, an employee break area and a teller machine. The office spaces will allow for private consultations on loans, mortgages and other services.

“This new space allows us to better serve the Purdue community and offer a more welcoming environment where members can manage their financial needs,” said Bob Falk, Purdue Federal Credit Union CEO, in a press release.

Purdue Federal has been located in the union for 20 years. The branch will operate from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

KJG Architecture completed the new branch design. J.C. Ripberger Construction Corp. implemented the construction.

West Lafayette-based Purdue Federal Credit Union was founded on Purdue University’s West Lafayette campus in 1969. Its membership base includes students, faculty and staff and communities where Purdue University and its regional campuses operate. The credit union has over 100,000 members nationwide. It also has branches in Crown Point and La Porte.
