Michiana native Eric Gerhold is Notre Dame Federal Credit Union's new chief financial officer.
Gerhold has served in leadership roles at various financial institutions for 38 years. His last job was as vice president and senior corporate asset liability manager at Horizon Bank. He also was a founding employee at St. Joseph Capital Bank in Michiana.
“His extensive experience and dedication to excellence make him a valuable addition to our growing organization as we continue to provide our members with exceptional financial services and support,” said Tom Gryp, president and CEO of Notre Dame Federal Credit Union, in a press release.
His new role at the credit union will include the financial management of its various brands, including Notre Dame FCU, Mission Insurance, Mission Investments (a brokerage), and Mission Management and Trust Co.
Gerhold graduated from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. He also previously served as president of the Michigan City Zoological Society and volunteered for Junior Achievement and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Notre Dame Federal Credit Union, which was founded in 1941, is a nonprofit financial cooperative with more than 65,000 members worldwide. It has 11 branches and more than $1 billion in assets.
