Business recognition nominations open

The Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber is seeking nominations for their 2025 Business Recognition Awards.

The chamber is looking for individuals and businesses who made an impact in and around the community in 2024.

Categories for the 2025 Chamber Awards are:

  • Economic Impact Award: A local enterprise that has contributed to business growth, job creation and infrastructure investment in the Region. The company must also give back to the community and enhance the lives of its employees.
  • Small Business of the Year Award: A local small business that stands out for developing an outstanding, growing business; offering innovative product(s) and/or services, increasing jobs, increasing sales, overcoming adversity and for making community contributions.
  • Non-Profit Excellence Award: A 501(c)3 organization that provides a service to the community and/or advocating, enabling, and empowering an underserved, underrepresented or disadvantaged population in the area.
  • Best New Business: A new business in Southwest Michigan between six months and two years old that has demonstrated levels of excellence in their products and community service.
  • Community Placemaking Award: This award honors a community in Berrien, Cass or Van Buren Counties that has improved their community through impactful placemaking projects.
  • Rising Star Award: An award that recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments of a motivated, emerging leader in the community. Nominees should demonstrate excellence, creativity and show initiative/leadership in their industry, company or profession.
  • The Pat Moody Award: An award that recognizes an individual who has made their mark in the community.
  • The Ambassador of the Year: This award goes to a chamber ambassador who helped the chamber and its members.

Anyone may submit nominations. Nominees must be members in good standing with the chamber in order to be eligible for recognition.

Nominations will be accepted through Jan. 7. Winners will be selected during live voting by their peers at the 2025 Business Recognition Awards event Feb. 21. Learn more here.

The St. Joseph-based Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber serves Berrien, Cass and Van Buren Counties. The chamber works to strengthen regional assets and advocate for regional priorities. The Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber aims to cultivate an economic ecosystem to prepare the Region for future opportunities.
