Several Northwest and North Central Indiana alumni and benefactors were honored during Ivy Tech Community College’s 60th anniversary gala.
The college honored 19 alumni and 18 benefactors Nov. 10 in Indianapolis.
“For anyone associated with the college, this year is a year for excitement and reflection,” said Ivy Tech President Dr. Sue Ellspermann in a press release. “Our inspiring alumni and strong partnerships have allowed us to reach this point, and now offer us the incredible opportunity to celebrate that impact on Hoosiers, our communities, and the state of Indiana.”
Honorees from the Region include:
- Lake County: Jessica Howard, distinguished alumni
- South Bend-Elkhart: Harry Smyers, distinguished alumni
- Valparaiso: Sandy Strilich Daly, distinguished alumni
- Lake County: Cleveland-Cliffs, honored benefactors
- South Bend-Elkhart: Donna and Dick Pfeil, honored benefactors
- Valparaiso: Cleveland-Cliffs, honored benefactors
Ivy Tech has 19 locations in Indiana, which provide a more affordable route to higher education.
