Clark Logic to help Blendco realize growth potential

Clark Logic is creating a $1.9 million space for the expansion of Blendco LLC in St. Joseph, Michigan.

The rehabilitation project at 211 Kerth St. moved forward in July after an Industrial Facilities Tax Exemption was approved at a St. Joseph City Commission meeting.

Blendco wants to expand after recent growth and the need for more storage and manufacturing space.

“We’re happy to create a space that allows Blendco to continue their exceptional growth,” said Jamie Clark, president of Clark Logic, in a press release. “Demanding and challenging projects taken on by Clark Logic lets us support local companies and improve the economy of the communities we serve.”

The project will create three to five new jobs at the location, which had been vacant since 2003. Blendco will rent the space once it's complete. Work was expected to start this year.

Cathy Tilley, director of business development at Cornerstone Alliance, was instrumental in securing the IFTE approval.

“Clark Logic’s continued investment in our community has generated more jobs and growth,” Tilley said. “They took a building that has been vacant for decades and are in the process of renovating it into an operational facility that will immediately meet the expansion requirements of Blendco.”

Blendco, which was founded a quarter century ago, offers dry blending facilities that are designed to deliver precise results and a microbiologically clean product.

Cornerstone Alliance is a nonprofit, investor-governed economic development organization in southwest Michigan. Clark Logic offers transportation, logistics, facility and real estate solutions for businesses large and small across southwest Michigan and northern Indiana. It has an office in Elkhart.
