QVC maven Kim Gravel will share her entrepreneurial journey during the South Bend Regional Chamber's Own It. Build It. Lead It. ATHENA women's event.
Gravel rose from Miss Georgia stature to founder of her own QVC apparel, beauty and home goods line. She also is the host of “The Kim Gravel Show.”
After her keynote, a question-and-answer session will allow attendees a chance to engage with Gravel.
OnSite Health also will be presented with the ATHENA Organizational Leadership award for its support of women at work and in their communities.
The event from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 17 at the Gillespie Conference Center, 53995 State Highway 933, South Bend, will include networking, refreshments and door prizes.
“Whether attending with colleagues, friends or on your own, participants will leave informed and educated, motivated and supported,” according to the chamber's website. “Created for women of all backgrounds and career stages, this event is meant to be fun, engaging, motivational and inspirational — a celebration of leadership, connection and the power of women supporting women!”
The ATHENA leadership awards recognize women around the world. The organization was founded more than 40 years ago to empower women to become leaders.
