V Tech Conversions leaders say they chose Plymouth for their $2.5 million manufacturing plant because it “is home.”

The company acquired a 16,000-square-foot facility at 2525 Western Ave. in June and started production in July. It manufactures mobile workstations for building infrastructure.
The company plans to grow its workforce from 11 to 25 employees by 2028. Compensation is expected to reflect 165% of the average wage in Marshall County.
V Tech's customers are municipalities, utilities and infrastructure providers.

Indiana is home to more than 9,000 manufacturing businesses, which provide 25% of the state's economic output, according to the Indiana Economic Development Corp.
