Downtown South Bend will host the February First Fridays Feb. 7 with a Fire & Ice theme.
The event will showcase live ice carvings, some of which will include a fire element, fire dancing and fireworks. Attendees can warm up at downtown fireplaces and fire pits at Howard Park, South Bend Chocolate Cafe and Studebaker Plaza. A s'mores station and First Fridays block party will be located by Studebaker Plaza.
The event takes place during South Bend’s Winter Restaurant Weeks, with 30 downtown restaurants offering special menus.
Downtown businesses will offer a variety of First Fridays activities. Attendees can enjoy dining and retail discounts, art exhibits, dancing, photo ops, live music, ice skating and kid-friendly activities. First Fridays will take place 5 to 9 p.m.
DTSB First Fridays is a community experience aimed at celebrating the best of what downtown South Bend has to offer. The event takes place the first Friday of each month all year long, with a different theme each month.
