Lighthouse Autism Center expands in Iowa

Mishawaka-based Lighthouse Autism Center announced its latest expansion with a new center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The facility will have the capacity to serve 25 families within the Cedar Rapids community. The expansion will add over 35 new employment opportunities to Iowa's health care landscape.

Lighthouse Autism Center provides diagnostic testing for autism. Its services include applied behavior analysis therapy, speech therapy and school readiness programs. The center also offers social skills groups and virtual parent training sessions.

“This year marks a significant milestone for Lighthouse Autism Center, with the expansion of new centers across Iowa,” said Ali Mottet, Lighthouse Autism Center regional director, in a press release. “Our commitment to excellence and community-focused care drives us forward, and there is no better time or place to extend our impact and make a difference.”

Lighthouse Autism Center has a footprint in Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa and Nebraska. The Cedar Rapids Autism Center is Lighthouse Autism Center’s sixth facility in Iowa. It is slated to open in late 2024.

Lighthouse Autism Center was founded by Gregg and Sandy Maggioli. Their son, Victor, was diagnosed with autism in 2004. The family’s experiences led them to found Lighthouse Autism Center in 2011.
