Deputy Prosecutor Matthew Aldridge will take the judge's seat in Marshall County.
Gov. Eric Holcomb appointed him to replace Judge Dean Colvin, whose retirement is effective. Sept. 29. Aldridge will sit on the Marshall County Superior Court No. 2.
Aldridge has been a deputy prosecutor in Marshall County since September 2021. He also served as a deputy prosecutor in Tippecanoe County for a year after law school.
Aldridge earned a bachelor's degree in history from Western Michigan University and a law degree from Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law.
Aldridge's swearing-in date is still to be determined.
