Purdue Polytechnic names emeritus board members

Purdue Polytechnic High Schools has proclaimed its founders Mitch Daniels and Gary Bertoline as emeritus board members.

Daniels is the former governor of Indiana and president emeritus of Purdue University. Bertoline is the former dean of Purdue Polytechnic Institute. The move formalizes their ongoing commitment to the network of free, public charter high schools in Indianapolis and South Bend. The schools were established to expand educational opportunities for Indiana students.

The Purdue Polytechnic High Schools curriculum is a STEM-focused, college-preparatory learning model. The network currently operates schools in the Broad Ripple and Englewood communities in Indianapolis and in South Bend.

The proclamation of Daniels and Bertoline as emeritus board members solidifies the continuing relationship between the PPHS network and Purdue University, ensuring the schools remain focused on their founding mission.
