South Bend International Airport's luxury motorcoach service to Chicago O’Hare International Airport via American Airlines will switch to a plane ride.
American Airlines will offer three flights daily to Chicago O’Hare International Airport from South Bend International Airport starting Oct. 5. Flights will take place on a CRJ-700 regional aircraft with 65 seats and dual-class cabins.
“It was one year ago in October that American connected SBN to another of the airline’s hubs, marking a third nonstop route from SBN,” said South Bend International Airport CEO and Executive Director Mike Daigle, in a press release. “We are thrilled the route has performed well and will now be operating with an upgraded regional aircraft, offering convenient options for travelers.”
The Landline Co. will continue to provide rides to O'Hare through Oct. 4. Passengers who have booked a trip between South Bend and O'Hare will receive rebooking information via American Airlines email.
American’s flights also offer jet service to Dallas Fort Worth and Charlotte.
South Bend International Airport provides nonstop flights to 16 airports through five carriers.
