The Potawatomi Zoo broke ground on its Big Cat Tracks project Aug. 14, a new Amur tiger and leopard habitat on two acres of land acquired from the City of South Bend.
Teddy, a short-beaked echidna, is the newest resident at the Potawatomi Zoo and may be part of zoo education classes and programs.
