Chinese lanterns in the shape of giant pandas, tigers and other animals will light up the nights at the Potawatomi Zoo for Zoo Luminate, a lantern festival through May 25.
The Potawatomi Zoo announced that its new female giraffe calf, born on Oct. 13 to Zindhi, a Masai giraffe at the zoo, will be named Hadassah.
The Potawatomi Zoo is hosting its annual Gift of Lights holiday lights event Nov. 29 through Dec. 22, featuring Santa, giraffe feeding, concerts, snacks and hot drinks.
The Potawatomi Zoo announced the birth of a female giraffe calf, weighing 135 pounds and six feet tall at birth, to Zindzhi who joined the zoo’s giraffe herd in November 2023.
