Elkhart tourism guide earns top state award

The Elkhart County Convention & Visitors Bureau's 2025 Elkhart County Area Guide earned the top award at the Indiana Tourism Conference.

The guide earned the Best Visitor Guide. The bureau printed 150,000 copies.

“I’m overjoyed that the Elkhart County CVB’s team was recognized for this honor,” said Jon Hunsberger, executive director of the Elkhart County CVB, in a press release. “But the biggest winners of all were the 160-plus locally owned businesses, the Elkhart County cities and towns along with Shipshewana, and the plethora of local festivals and events that were featured in the guide.”

Judges said the Elkhart guide was “very well-balanced” with “clear, engaging descriptions of things to see and do.”

The bureau has won nine Indiana Tourism Awards in 10 years.

The ECCVB is a nonprofit corporation that leads the promotional efforts of tourism in the county.
