Construction on Four Winds Field, home to the South Bend Cubs, continues to make progress.
The second level suites are starting to take shape. The splash pad bathrooms and changing room building are on pace to be finished in a month. The fun zone was completed before the season started. It also includes a new inflatable.
The South Bend Cubs season is already one-fifth completed. In April, the team welcomed over 40,000 guests to the park. Some groups visited from as far as two hours away.
The South Bend Cubs are a U.S. Class A minor league baseball team. The team is an affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. Four Winds Field, in downtown South Bend, was originally built in 1987 as Stanley Coveleski Regional Stadium.
