Two new locations, Antojito MX Mexican restaurant and Theatre on Skates Academy synthetic ice skating, are opening at Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets in Michigan City.
Theatre on Skates Academy is a synthetic ice-skating theatre program combining acting, singing and skating. A nonprofit organization, the academy promotes figure skating for individuals of all ages and skating levels. The purpose of the academy is to foster and encourage growth and development in the performing arts for each member to achieve their highest potential in a safe and healthy environment whether it be on ice or on stage.
Antojito MX’s slogan is “From our table to yours.” Their menu describes their journey to opening this restaurant that started in a grandmother’s kitchen in Mexico.
“She taught my mother that cooking is a way of loving. My mother learned from her the secrets of traditional Mexican cuisine, and with that knowledge, she opened her own restaurant, where she also raised us surrounded by aromas, flavors and love,” according to the restaurant’s website.
“Today, we continue that legacy,” the site adds. “Every dish we serve honors those strong women who taught us that good food is not just made with ingredients but with heart.”
Lighthouse Place has seen several new openings this year. New stores include Boba Tea House, CoinFlip Bitcoin ATM, Fragrance Hut, JD Sports, Mobile Fix & Repair, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Pop Culture & Collectibles, Sneaker Spot, Travel Treasures and TreeSun Gifts.
