After 65 years and four generations, Burton’s Laundry is opening its 16th location.
The family will host a grand opening at 10 a.m. March 6 at the new location at 301 W. Pike St. in Goshen. Community members can tour the 4,308-square-foot laundromat and enjoy a cup of complimentary coffee from the Electric Brew coffee trailer. Coffee will be brewing from 9:15 to 11:15 a.m.
Ancon Construction helped design the new facility, which offers a clean and efficient environment for customers.
“It’s a privilege to partner with Burton’s Laundry as they expand their presence in our community,” said Doug VonGunten, president of Ancon Construction in a press release. “Projects like this represent more than a new building, they reflect meaningful investment in local families and long-term opportunity for a locally owned business.”
Burton and Lottie Cebulski started the business in 1961 with a single location. It had eight dryers and 10 washers. In 1971, their son Don and his wife, Louise, bought the laundromat and acquired more locations. Their son David continued the tradition, along with acquiring two large facilities for a laundromat and carwash combination. David and his wife, Susan's children also help manage the operation.
