Mary Moran joined Surf Internet to lead the company's outside plant engineering and construction operations as it continues to expand its fiber-optic network.
Moran, who has 20 years of experience, is Surf's vice president of OSP engineering and construction. Most recently she was the director of construction for Ezee Fiber, based in Texas. She also was a senior lader at T-Mobile.
“Mary’s background aligns well with the stage of growth Surf is in today,” said Brent Williams, chief operating officer at Surf Internet, in a press release. “Her ability to bring structure, accountability and clarity to complex construction environments will be instrumental as we continue executing large-scale builds across multiple markets.”
Moran will oversee multiple projects that will bring fiber connectivity to homes in the Great Lakes region.
“I’m excited to join Surf at a time of significant growth and opportunity,” Moran said. “The company has built a strong reputation for how it approaches fiber expansion, and I look forward to working alongside the team to deliver high-quality networks, support our communities, and help Surf build for the long term.”
Surf Internet serves customers in Illinois, Indiana and Michigan, and employs more than 350 people. The company has headquarters in Elkhart, and offices in La Porte; Byron Center and Fowlerville in Michigan; and Coal City, Naperville and Rock Falls, Illinois.
