Comcast opens Michigan City Xfinity store

Comcast expanded its Michiana footprint with an Xfinity Store location in Michigan City. It's the second to open this month.

Michigan City Mayor Angie Nelson Deuitch, the Michigan City Chamber of Commerce, and other city officials and community organizations attended a ribbon cutting Feb. 26 at the new 5330 Franklin St. store.

“The arrival of an Xfinity Store expands access to reliable, fast connectivity solutions and personalized customer support for our residents,” said Michigan City Mayor Angie Nelson Deuitch in a press release. “Having a nearby location where customers can explore the latest technology and receive assistance is a valuable addition to our community.”

The South Bend location at 4615 Miami St. opened Feb. 19. Comcast also as store locations in Benton Harbor, Michigan; and Elkhart and Granger in Indiana.

“The opening of our new Xfinity Store in Michigan City underscores our commitment to delivering a convenient, interactive experience where customers are supported by a knowledgeable local team,” said Chris Smith, Comcast’s Greater Chicago region senior vice president. “Customers in Michiana can expect expert guidance and access to the latest in connectivity and entertainment.”

The location will offer service appointments made online and in person.
