New leadership for Senior1Care, Legacy Medical

Senior1Care, along with the Legacy Medical Academy, announced leadership changes at the Mishawaka organizations.

Matthew Presley was named president of the north central region of Senior1Care. He was president and chief financial officer of Legacy Medical Academy, a healthcare training program.

“Matt helped build Legacy Medical Academy into what it is today, and we’re excited to see him bring that same energy into this new role with Senior1Care,” said Kyle Bossung, CEO of Senior1Care, in a press release.

Presley helped the program become recognized statewide, and it earned Workforce Education Initiative Business Partner by the Indiana Association for Adult and Continuing Education during his tenure.

“Legacy Medical Academy has been incredibly meaningful to me because of the lives and careers we’ve helped shape,” Presley said. “This new role is a natural next step, and I’m looking forward to serving the families and communities that Senior1Care has been a part of for years.”

Pamela Morrison replaces Presley as president of Legacy Medical. She most recently led workforce initiatives at Beacon Health System, including a youth apprenticeship program.

“(Morrison's) depth of experience in healthcare leadership, workforce development and academic partnerships makes her exactly the right person to lead Legacy Medical Academy into its next chapter,” Bossung said.

Morrison also led education initiatives in partnership with Ivy Tech Community College.

“I’ve long admired the work Legacy Medical Academy does to create real pathways into healthcare careers,” Morrison said. “This is a mission I care deeply about, and I’m excited to help build on the strong foundation that’s already in place.”

Morrison earned an MBA and a Bachelor or Science in nursing from Indiana University South Bend. Presley also worked for Ivy Tech, including executive director of Ivy+ Career Link for the South Bend-Elkhart campus.

Senior1Care, founded in 2006, offers in-home care for seniors. Legacy Medical Academy, which opened in 2014, has trained more than 5,000 caregivers since then.
