Mishawaka-based Franciscan Alliance is shifting some of the geographic responsibilities for its hospital leadership in Northwest Indiana and Chicago’s South Suburbs.
The changes reflect its regional approach to health care.
Raymond Grady, Franciscan Health Olympia Fields president and CEO, has been named president and CEO of Franciscan Alliance’s Lake County hospitals and clinics, including Franciscan Health Crown Point, Franciscan Health Dyer and Franciscan Health Munster. Grady has served in his current capacity since 2022, coming to Franciscan after an extensive career leading health care administrations for over 40 years.
Frank McHugh, Franciscan Health Olympia Fields CFO, will assume the role of interim president and CEO at that location. McHugh has been with Franciscan Health Olympia Fields for the past six years following a 30-year career in health care.
Grady is replacing Interim Crown Point President and CEO Barbara Anderson, who entered the role from retirement from Franciscan Alliance after Dr. Daniel McCormick left the position to pursue other opportunities earlier this year.
Grady also takes on the roles in Dyer and Munster previously held by Dean Mazzoni. Mazzoni maintains his position as president and CEO of Franciscan Health Michigan City and Franciscan Health Michigan City at La Porte as well as La Porte County supporting clinics while also taking on the president and CEO role at Franciscan’s new facility under construction in Porter County as well as other Porter County facilities.
Mazzoni joined Franciscan Alliance as president and CEO of Franciscan Health Michigan City (then St. Anthony Health) in 2016 and added the roles of president and CEO of Franciscan Health Dyer and Munster in 2023 upon Anderson’s retirement. Mazzoni has a career of over 20 years, guiding for-profit and non-profit hospitals in a variety of leadership roles.
“Franciscan Alliance is pleased to retain these experienced leaders to continue our Christ-centered mission throughout Northwest Indiana and the South Suburbs as we keep our eye on our future and support our regional approach to health care,” said Kevin Leahy, Franciscan Alliance president and CEO, in a press release. “Our co-workers, patients and communities will all benefit from the continuity and care of these exemplary individuals.”
The moves are scheduled to take effect on Sept. 20.
