Interra wins marketing excellence award

Goshen-based Interra Credit Union recently won a Diamond Award from America’s Credit Unions for its marketing efforts.

Interra accepted the award at America’s Credit Unions’ Marketing & Business Development Council conference in Texas. The Diamond Award recognizes excellence in credit union marketing and business.

Competing against 1,400 entries nationwide, Interra was awarded in the Ongoing Event category for its 30th anniversary of Hometown Giving.

“The 30th year of Interra’s Hometown Giving is a testament to the vision and generosity of those who started this special outreach three decades ago,” said Meegan Siegwarth, vice president, senior marketing manager, in a press release.

Siegwarth said it takes more than 35 volunteers to help coordinate each year’s fundraising. In the last five years, the credit union has donated over $200,000, supporting more than 50 charities in the community.

“It’s truly the great hearts of Interra’s staff, our members and the community that make this incredible impact possible year after year,” Siegwarth said. “Interra’s marketing team takes great pride in crafting campaigns that not only engage our staff but also strengthens our connection with the communities we serve.”

Interra Credit Union was chartered in 1932. The credit union currently operates 16 offices in Elkhart, LaGrange, Kosciusko, Marshall and Noble counties. Interra Credit Union serves nearly 90,000 members.
