Horizon Bank volunteers gathered together Sept. 16 to serve their communities during the bank’s third annual Horizon Cares Day.
All Horizon Bank branches close for one day a year to allow advisors the chance to dedicate their time to the neighborhoods they serve. This year, nearly 800 advisors volunteered with over 80 nonprofit organizations across Indiana and Michigan. They volunteered their time at food pantries, shelters and Habitat for Humanity sites. The projects focused on meeting local needs and making an impact.
As part of Horizon Cares Day, eight advisors were recognized with Community Service and Leadership Awards.
“Horizon Cares Day is a powerful reminder of what can happen when we come together for the common good,” said Thomas Prame, Horizon Bank CEO, in a press release. “By volunteering side by side with community partners, our advisors are not only meeting immediate needs but also helping to build lasting connections.”
Michigan City-based Horizon Bank serves customers throughout Indiana and Michigan. Horizon Bancorp is the commercial bank holding company for Horizon Bank.
