South Bend-based Everwise Credit Union named Jason Gendics to the newly created role of chief banking officer.
Gendics will lead the overall member service and sales activities for Everwise. He will also oversee the strategy and operations for its retail banking and lending lines of business. Gendics brings over 30 years of banking experience and leadership with regional banks to his new role.
Prior to joining Everwise, Gendics served as executive vice president, consumer and business banking at Premier Bank in Youngstown, Ohio. In this role, he was responsible for managing the organization’s deposit portfolio and direct and indirect consumer loan portfolio. Gendics previously served in management positions at Huntington National Bank, FirstMerit Corp. and National City Bank.

Gendics earned a bachelor’s degree in business economics from Brown University and an MBA in international management from Baldwin-Wallace University.
Everwise Credit Union operates 50 branches throughout Indiana and southwest Michigan. The credit union serves nearly 300,000 members. Everwise Credit Union was founded in 1931.
