The University of Notre Dame is hosting its second annual BLDG Trades Day @ ND March 7.
The Notre Dame Facilities Design & Operations team is presenting the event with MACIAF, St. Joseph Valley Building Trades, South Bend Regional Chamber and Greater Niles Chamber. Together, they will welcome students, educators, parents and adult career seekers.
About 750 area high school students interested in trades careers will attend the event. Students will have an opportunity to talk with contractors and tradesmen about career pathways and the work they do. Through conversations and hands-on activities, attendees can explore what a future in the trades might look like.
Morning and early afternoon hours will be reserved for scheduled student tours. Students and educators will also be given a tour of new dorms and football operations facility currently under construction.
The free event will be open to the general public 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. It will take place at Notre Dame’s Stepan Center. Parking will be available in White Field.
