Indiana Chamber announces Best Places to Work rankings

The Indiana Chamber of Commerce announced rankings of the winners of its 2024 Best Places to Work in Indiana Awards during a dinner May 8 in Indianapolis.

The chamber honored 193 employers, a record for the 19th awards.

Centier Bank was among them. The Merrillville-based bank took third place in the major companies category in a field of 15.

“We’ve welcomed many new associates to Centier in the last year, and it’s wonderful to know that their positive feedback has contributed to such a high ranking,” Schrage said. “I am proud to see our associates living out our core values of caring, loyalty, integrity, friendship and fun.”

Centier Bank has been on the list for 18 years and has grown into the major companies category.

The rankings were determined by employee surveys and employer reports.

“The theme of this year’s program was ‘show off your superpower,’ and these winning organizations are definitely ‘super’ in the ways in which they enhance the lives of their employees,” says Indiana Chamber President and CEO Vanessa Green Sinders in a press release. “The fun staff events, terrific benefits and benevolent efforts to improve their communities are just some of the ways these leading businesses are setting examples for workplace culture.”
