Legacy Award applications open

Nominations are open for the 2026 LaGrange County Legacy Awards.

The annual awards honor the businesses, organizations and individuals making a lasting impact in LaGrange County.

The award categories include:

  • Large Business of the Year: This award recognizes a large business who demonstrates growth in its employment, production, and/or operations and has a substantial history of success. It has a positive social and/or economic impact on the LaGrange County region. For businesses with 11 or more employees.
  • Small Business of the Year: This award recognizes a small business who demonstrates excellence, innovation and resilience. For businesses with 10 or fewer employees.
  • Nonprofit of the Year: This award recognizes an organization who has devoted significant time and efforts to community service initiatives that positively impact the LaGrange County region. They must hold a mission and purpose which furthers a social cause or provides a public benefit.
  • Educator of the Year: This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to the education profession and to the intellectual and social growth and development of students. Must be an employed educator with a LaGrange County school corporation or an education facility (preschool, college/university, training organization).
  • Young Professional of the Year: This award recognizes an individual who demonstrates a high level of professionalism, spirit, leadership, perseverance, creativity and determination. They are recognized for their commitment to community, professional accomplishments and volunteerism. They serve as a role model for other young professionals both personally and professionally. Must be 18-40 years of age.
  • Professional of the Year: Not restricted to any generation, this award recognizes an individual who demonstrates a high level of professionalism, leadership, wisdom and perseverance. They are recognized for their commitment to community, professional accomplishments, volunteerism and a drive to equip the next generation of professionals. They serve as a role model to all those they meet and work with.

The outstanding businesses, organizations and individuals will be recognized at the LaGrange County Chamber of Commerce's annual meeting in January 2026.
