This year’s Founder Factory Nov. 20 will feature conversations with Caterina Fake and Amish Shah.
Fake is an entrepreneur and investor. She is the co-founder of Flickr and serves on the boards of Etsy and the Sundance Institute. Fake collaborates with founders through her venture fund, Yes VC. She focuses her work on the social and cultural impact of new technologies, innovation and creativity.
“As someone who has been both a founder and investor, Caterina brings an interesting perspective to Founder Factory,” said Bethany Hartley, South Bend – Elkhart Regional Partnership president and CEO, in a press release.
Shah is the CEO of Elkhart-based Kem Krest. Since assuming the role of CEO in 2008, he has led the company to a $500+ million supply chain and fulfillment business that services Fortune 100 companies globally.
“Amish is an innovator making significant impacts right here in the South Bend – Elkhart region. I am excited to have these two visionaries together onstage,” Hartley said.
Founder Factory is hosted by Startup South Bend – Elkhart. The summit brings together entrepreneurs, investors, and students for an evening of inspiration, knowledge-sharing and networking. Founder Factory will end the day with a happy hour, giving attendees time to make connections.
Founder Factory is in its fourth year, with previous events selling out. Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the South Bend Awesome Fund, which awards microgrants to people, businesses and causes that benefit the South Bend area. The enhanced pitch will happen on Nov. 19.
Founder Factory is a part of Global Entrepreneurship Week from Nov. 18-24. The celebration aims to empower entrepreneurs. Over 40,000 events take place in 200 countries.
